The Alphorn and folk music players meeting is a highlight of the Katschberger HoamART and lets the Katschberg resonate far beyond the borders of the country. More than 100 Alphorn, folk music, and hunting horn players fill the mountains with their harmonious sounds, making Lungau a unique musical experience from September 12 to 14, 2025.

It starts on September 12 in various huts around and on the Katschberg. Alphorn, folk music, and hunting horn players come together for a fun musical experience. The musical hiking day continues on September 13.

With the new gondola lift, visitors go up to Aineck, where music is played at a high altitude of 2220m above sea level around the lake. The highlight: an ECHO CONCERT at Gontal starting at 7:00 PM.

At the Gamskogel hut, a field mass will take place on Sunday, September 14, marking the festive conclusion of the 15th Alphorn, folk music and hunting horn players meeting.

Whether traditional folk tunes, spontaneous melodies, or collective songs – the Katschberger Alphorn, folk music, and hunting horn meeting focuses on music. The gentle tones of the musicians in the midst of the mountains definitely ensure goosebumps moments.
